Grants are awarded to groups of four to six ministers to pursue their own self-designed plan for renewal and learning in community. The best proposals provide ways for pastoral leaders to become more alive to their call, to their practice of ministry, to each other, and to the world around them. Applicants must be serving in ministry in a congregation or community context. Grants are awarded once each year. The grant period is two years. May 15 is the deadline for submitting applications.

Oblate School of Theology: International Priest Program
This program is on hold during 2016-17 but will return in 2017-18.
http://www.ost.edu/OblateSite/IPI/IPIHome.html

The International Priest Internship is an acculturation program designed for foreign priests who will be doing ministry in the United States. Linguistic and verbal communication skills are emphasized in the program to facilitate evangelization and pastoral community life. The IPI has three key components: two 15-day seminars on campus, ongoing contacts during the internship year with IPI staff, and accompaniment by someone in the diocese where the priest is assigned. The IPI seeks to help participants understand the present-day reality of the United States and of the U.S. church, introducing them to present day pastoral challenges and practices of the U.S. church, and assisting participants in building on their present theological and pastoral training in ways that will help them minister effectively to a U.S. faith community.

Texas Methodist Foundation: Leadership Ministry
www.tmf-fdn.org

Texas Methodist Foundation’s Leadership Ministry offers peer group learning processes for pastors and laity in United Methodist congregations in Texas and beyond, and for judicatory leaders across the South Central jurisdiction of the UMC. Group processes help participants understand and practice courageous, adaptive, and spiritually grounded leadership. The groups vary in size and purpose, but all utilize a trained facilitator, outside expertise, a self-directed learning covenant, and the opportunity for significant peer learning and support.
